The Beacon Standard is Trail & Torch's visible trust framework. It combines Guide identity, safety commitments, background-check readiness, Trail review, Guardian consent, communication rules, and incident reporting.
Guardian remains the primary contact for Apprentices.
No unsupervised one-on-one adult/minor Trails in MVP.
Trails are reviewed before publication.
Guides acknowledge current safety commitments before hosting.

How membership works
Can an apprentice create their own account?
No. In the MVP, Guardians own accounts and manage Apprentice profiles, registrations, waivers, payments, and reviews.
What is a Trail?
A Trail is a short, guided, hands-on apprenticeship experience built around a practical skill, craft, trade, service, or creative practice.
How do Guides join?
Prospective Guides create an account, request Guide access, complete a profile, connect payouts, acknowledge the Beacon Standard, and complete required vetting before hosting.
Are Guides allowed to message minors directly?
No. Trail & Torch is designed around Guardian-controlled communication and participation. Direct Guide-to-minor private messaging is outside the MVP.
