The Beacon Standard is Trail & Torch's visible trust framework. It combines Guide identity, safety commitments, background-check readiness, Trail review, Guardian consent, communication rules, and incident reporting.

A Trail is a short, guided, hands-on apprenticeship experience built around a practical skill, craft, trade, service, or creative practice.
Prospective Guides create an account, request Guide access, complete a profile, connect payouts, acknowledge the Beacon Standard, and complete required vetting before hosting.
No. Trail & Torch is designed around Guardian-controlled communication and participation. Direct Guide-to-minor private messaging is outside the MVP.
